Issue #14: "It's just so human"
When you surrender to awe.
It’s a Tuesday and I’m eating frosted mini wheats so fast, that it feels like I’ve never eaten before.
This milk is — so cold.
The wheaties are… sturdy.
and.
They’re ice.
Tonight, I feel like I’m 18.
Simple, carefree
bare hands, climb trees
was the beez neez
Eatin’ dairy in my ice cream
Watchin’ airplanes in Jersey, Cross Keys.
Didn’t have a bad knee and
Frequented beaches, sandy.
Like I never stressed out before.
Wouldn’t worry, felt the sun shine
at 2:28 PM before.
And it’s just so human.
I remember when we hugged, I could feel your heart beat, I swear.
We’re more similar, than we are different,
Please remember, I dare.
So today, I was proudly 18.
Coming from big dreams.
It’s nice to be her.
She said she missed me.
She chose to light, beam.
Back to her old dreams.
I care about you.
So I eat wheaties at 10:36 PM.
The milk is so good and cool, I’m probably dehydrated.
And it’s a Tuesday, tomorrow’s Wednesday.
And I hope it’s awe-some.
I’ll redo “18”
Simple carefree
Dirty hands, climb more trees.
I’ll learn from each moment.
It’ll be the beez neez.
Would love if you joined me.
And we’ll just be, so human.
Share if you’re reclaiming joy ❤️
